Bayonne Real Estate
Welcome to Bayonne
Tucked onto a quiet and scenic peninsula between Newark Bay and New York Bay just south of Jersey City, Bayonne, NJ is a once-sleepy little town suddenly blooming with new business, new development, and new life. Its proximity to New York, its many miles of waterfront, and its much more affordable homes have made Bayonne the new up-and-coming city of North Jersey.
Connected to Staten Island by the Bayonne Bridge, and both Newark and Jersey City by the NJ Turnpike, Bayonne is conveniently located within easy reach of Manhattan and major area businesses, yet it still enjoys a small-town charm and comfort lacking in the bustle of the big cities. And its increased popularity has led to plenty of new development in recent months and in the coming years, with residential developments underway and planned, and new commercial areas and businesses quickly following suit.

Take a stroll along the Hackensack RiverWalk along the Newark Bay as you explore the beautiful Stephen R. Gregg Park. Go ice skating at the Rich Korpi Ice Rink. Shopping, Dining & Development
Shopping, dining, and other amenities abound throughout the city. In the downtown strip of the Broadway Shopping District, businesses range from local and unique to national brand names. Bayonne is also home to the former Military Ocean Terminal, now the redesigned and civilianized Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, which features new housing and businesses, such as Cape Liberty Cruise Port and Royal Caribbean.
Employment & Economy
Though its economy was once founded mainly in manufacturing, distribution, and other heavy industry, modernization of the city, as well as growth and development, is transforming it from the “Peninsula of Industry” to the “Peninsula of Business and Technology”. The city is seeing enormous growth in maritime operations and the service sector, caused largely by its new technology, new commercial developments, and a civilianized ocean terminal. Additionally, the city is home to the Bayonne Medical Center, one of the largest private sector employers in Hudson County. Bayonne is also served by four stops on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, which connects up the Hudson River coast to various communities and PATH stations.
